THE POSITION IN A NUTSHELL
As a Senior Finance Functional Lead specializing in SAP Public Cloud, you will be responsible for leading the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud solutions for financial operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between business processes and system capabilities, acting as a key advisor for finance-related modules and ensuring best practices are implemented across the organization.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (and doing well!)
Implementation & Configuration
- Lead the end-to-end design, configuration, and implementation of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud finance modules (FI, CO, etc.).
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, ensuring alignment with SAP Public Cloud capabilities.
- Provide expertise in financial processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Controlling and Group Reporting.
- Define and document functional specifications, business process flows, and system configuration settings.
- Perform system testing, data validation, and user training to ensure a smooth implementation process.
Business Process Analysis
- Conduct workshops to identify business process improvements and provide strategic recommendations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with IT and other functional leads to ensure seamless integration between SAP finance and other modules (e.g., SD, MM, FSM, PS).
- Provide subject matter expertise to project teams and clients on SAP finance solutions.
Training & Documentation
- Develop and deliver training materials for end-users and stakeholders.
- Create detailed documentation for configurations, processes, and system architecture related to financial solutions.
- Support change management initiatives, helping the organization transition to new processes effectively.
Support & Continuous Improvement
- Provide post-implementation support, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements for financial solutions.
- Monitor system performance and provide ongoing support, ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory standards.
WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
- Eight (8)+ years of experience in SAP ERP, with a focus on finance modules and at least three (3) years in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
- Strong expertise in finance and controlling (FI/CO) modules, including configuration and integration.
- Proven experience in SAP implementation projects, including full life cycle implementations in Public Cloud environments.
- Knowledge of financial reporting, consolidation, and compliance requirements (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business terms.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with Agile or hybrid project management methodologies.
- Familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and cloud-based extensions.
- Understanding of global financial processes and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in training end-users and creating documentation.
