The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description
Role Purpose:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director for our Finance Technology Strategy Group. The team objective is to lead the finance function into the future by fostering innovation, leveraging technology and ensuring compliant and secure use of technology. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between finance and our O&T organization, ensuring that our technology landscape aligns with our strategic finance roadmap. We want to unlock greater value from our boundary systems and making sure that we are using these technologies responsibly. The ideal candidate will possess strong stakeholder management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of both finance and technology.
Responsibilities:
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across Global Controllership, Global Finance Operations, O&T, Cybersecurity, Risk & Compliance and other departments to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Act as the liaison between Global Controllership and O&T, translating finance requirements into technical solutions and vice versa. Also ensuring clear and effective communication and information flow.
- Develop a deep understanding of the Global Finance Operations strategic roadmap and identify how technology can support and enhance these goals.
- Unlock greater value from our existing boundary systems while identifying cutting-edge opportunities to leverage embedded AI/ML solutions for transformative impact.
- Ownership of O&T - and Cybersecurity-driven initiatives. Support with rolling-out these projects within wider Global Controllership and specifically within our Global Finance Operations.
- Establish a robust and efficient governance process for new technology requests and -enhancements, aligning FTSG priorities based on corporate and business unit strategy & imperatives, including the ongoing review of spend across finance systems.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with main technology suppliers, supporting Sourcing with negotiating contracts and ensuring service delivery meets expectations.
- Management of technology implementations, support with designing and implementing, and User Acceptance Testing.
- Provide support for our Reporting & Analytics workstream as part of Project Keystone (upgrading our existing SAP ECC environment to SAP S/4 HANA).
- Foster a culture of innovation and increase automation adoption within Global Controllership, focus on talent development and upskilling of finance professionals
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in finance, preferably with a focus on finance technology.
- Experience with ERP implementation and implementations of new technologies.
- Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation.
- Solid leadership and team management skills.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proven ability to liaise between finance and IT teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Desired Characteristics:
- Good understanding of latest trends and development in AI.
- Knowledge of risk and compliance requirements within technology solutions.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach.
- Understanding of finance strategic roadmaps and technology solutions.
This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
