Title: SAP Plant Maintenance Product Manager
Location: Hybrid - Possible locals IL, CA, WI, MN, MI (25% Travel)
Duration: 6+ months
Rate: Hourly Plus Expenses Reimbursed
Alignment: W2 or C2C
Description:
- Collaborate with internal teams (business analysts, developers, etc.) to understand plant maintenance product requirements and implement key features.
- Execute on product roadmaps defined by senior leadership, focusing on short-term improvements and tactical delivery.
- Work with the Product Owner to define product requirements, refine user stories, and ensure clear communication between business and IT teams.
- Prioritize tasks in the product backlog to ensure timely delivery of updates and enhancements.
- Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and collaborate with QA to ensure that product features meet quality standards.
- Maintain an actionable and up-to-date product backlog aligned with immediate business goals.
- Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups and sprint reviews, to monitor progress and remove blockers.
- Provide insights into product performance and identify minor improvements for quick implementation.
- Assist in creating documentation and training materials for new product features.
- Support internal teams in piloting new technologies and provide feedback for iterative development.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings to gather insights, document feedback, and implement small-scale adjustments.
- Take on other duties or projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of IT systems, software development methodologies, and project management principles.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Must pass post-offer background and drug test.
- Preferred Skills and Experience:
- One or more years of experience in product management within the Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.
- Experience writing user stories, refining product backlogs, and coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing work environment.
- Experience with agile frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, etc.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Familiarity with SAP S4 or similar ERP systems, particularly CMMS/maintenance modules within SAP.
- Knowledge of agile development practices, methodologies, and tools.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Experience as a Product Owner or Scrum Master.
- Bachelor’s Degree
