DEPARTMENT: Information Technology
HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
LOCATION: City Hall - 632 W 6th Ave, 4th Floor

Example of Duties
The ERP Development Manager is responsible for the design, architecture, maintenance, and development of the Municipality of Anchorage's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System. This position manages ERP Developers to include Municipal Employees as well as Contracted Resources, in order to design, plan, accurately estimate, document and deliver software assets to time, budget, and quality targets. This includes shaping and continuously improving the team's technical knowledge and skill sets as well as appropriately allocating work to developers based on individuals' abilities and requirements. Ensures development projects take full account of and correctly interface with existing systems, infrastructure, and enterprise architecture. Also ensures customer requirements are taken into account. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent, and ten (10) years of related professional level experience, of which two (2) years must have been at the supervisory level.
OR
Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Public Administration, or a related discipline, and eight (8) years of related professional level experience, of which two (2) years must have been at the supervisory level.
OR
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Public Administration, or a related discipline, and six (6) years of related professional level experience, of which two (2) years must have been at the supervisory level.
Must possess and/or obtain:
- Satisfactory background check which includes criminal, education, and employment history at time of hire.
Preference:
- Certified in SAP BI 7.0 or 3.5.
- Knowledgeable in project methodology and standards.
- Able to adjust readily to multiple demands, concurrent projects and shifting priorities.
- Able to manage significant workload remove barriers and influence events to achieve results.
- Able to led and supervise resources and work efforts across teams and drive the results of team efforts.
- Significant experience in a complex SAP environments with multiple landscapes and competing business project implementations.

Military Service Interview Preference
Veterans who wish to be considered for interview preference, as permitted in Municipal Personnel Rules 3.30.031 D, must attach to the application a copy of their DD Form 214, DD Form 256, NGB Form 22, or a letter from the US Department of Veterans Affairs, recognizing the person as a veteran. The attached documentation must show an honorable discharge or general (under honorable conditions) discharge. The minimum qualifications of the position must be met for preference consideration.
Individuals currently serving as a member in good standing in the National Guard or the organized military reserves who wish to be considered for interview preference, as permitted in Municipal Personnel Rules 3.30.031 D, must attach proof of current service to the application. Proof of current service can be shown by submission of a statement of service which, at a minimum, shows the full name, date of birth, Social Security Number, date service began, branch of service, rank, name of command providing the information, and unit of assignment. The statement of service must be on a form or letterhead of the individual’s command organization, and shows the name, signature, title, and contact information of the signer providing the statement of service. The minimum qualifications of the position must be met for preference consideration.
